Artist Statement

​

My overarching goal is to create new narratives out of images and objects that I have culled from the archive. Removed from their original contexts, often these images shape the meaning of each piece as it develops, pushing or pulling the narrative in new and unexpected directions. As I create my collages I enjoy the tactile pleasures of cutting, arranging, layering and gluing, and I allow my materials to guide me.
